Anywhere you decide to have the event we will be there but as one of the options in your message I know my wife would like it best if you had it at the Hampton Inn at Broadway at the Beach so that I can play cars and she can go shopping all the time. Also not moving the car would be nice. I will be watching for your updates and ready to sign up. Maybe in order to get monies that are needed you might want to has us pay when we sign up and not wait until the day of the show. There could be an additional charge for anyone that sign up at the show as other events do that. Just some thoughts.

I agree with Gordon that wherever you hold it I will be there and support you in any way I can. I think we did a fair job of judging the cars by using our own people to judge. I feel that taking away the competition end of it may not be the way to go. Let's face it, if you win at RTTB you have hit a Grand Slam in any body's book.

I enjoy the laid back idea of the meet and greet with no stress of a show. We could still have raffles and 50/50 that could still go toward charity. Maybe a cruise to somewhere. IF it goes that away i would suggest a hotel on the beach and a few weeks early.

This was my first RTTB. I am from NY and came out with RT66 PT Cruisers of Virginia. I WANT there to be a RTTB11. If you can get people to pre-pay the registration you can tell if it will be possible. Like an I promise to pre-pay the registration fee email. I would be on that list. Judging would be good and if it is YOUR crew that's even better. BATB parking lot would be OK also. A couple or few weeks earlier would work for me. What ever it might take. Please concider emailing your crew and leaders of the other groups to see who will commit to what. Thanks. I HOPE to see you there in 2010.

Not many people have replied to this so I thought I'd add to my first post. The one idea I like the most and to save money for the event so that the organizers don't have such a large outlay of monies and can do more for the charity is what was mentioned in Rick's notes. What is: "Broadway At The Beach (BATB) have "mentioned" the possibilities of being able to help out more with this event. There are a few things, should it work out that BATB can provide and do on a group basis. One could be us having the whole thing in the mall lot with us staying at the Hampton Inn. Ideally we would stay at the Hampton and have the show and vendors right there. You could conceivably park your car and not have to start it up again until the event was over." I do know that many of the wives that go to the event like this idea so they have something to do other than hang around the parking lot all the days and play car with us.

It would be nice if we could also get a group rate at the Crown Reef for those of us who come to Myrtle Beach to stay on the beach. Their rates are so cheap that quite a few of us stay longer than the RTTB show and call it vacation.
They were very good to us this year, they even blocked off a big chunk of their parking lot for just PT Cruisers to park.
However, I don't know if you guys have to pay money the Crown Reef to block rooms for the event there, so that might not work to the advantage of the show in general.

We do have group rates at the Crown Reef. I think our starting rate was around $54 a night when their usual rate is in excess of $80. The parking thing was unexpected and definitely appreciated. Kudos to them for doing it.

Just keep in mind some of us have pets that must be with us (no one to leave them with) so secondary hotel choice is a must. (ie:pet friendly)

I think that RTTB event is one of the Great PT Events of any year. Its the closing event for the year and would hate to see it end I know there is Lot of cost and work but you guys do a great job. And if you can cut that down do it. Its your event! I would have it tho at the Hampton at the Mall. Where you can be there and have the Show in the Mall .Thats the great part about the event. We make the Mall that day, so whatever they can do would only benefit them and us by having it there. Also having other Motels for the one's that want to bring there pet and go on the Beach would be fine. Everyone is different in there thinking. I would support what ever you guys do. I only want to come and have a good time like every year. But I love the PT Show thats why I come; to show my PT Off! I can Cruise the Beach anytime of the year.

Is it possible for MORE THAN ONE of the Carolina CLUBS can co-run the show? I would be willing to pay in advance as MANY of us would be. Let us know what we can do to have a BTTB 11..
